Nathan is the current President of the International Network of Safety & Health Professional Organisations (INSHPO) and a former Director and Deputy Chairman of the AIHS Board. He also a former Chair of their Finance, Risk, Audit, Performance and Compliance Committee and the immediate past Chair of the AIHS College of Fellows. Nathan is the AIHS representative to INSHPO. Nathan is also a former Treasurer and Secretary for the Fremantle City RSL Sub-Branch.
With a career spanning more than 20 years, Nathan Winter has held roles as a Director and senior management executive in Health & Safety, Environment, Risk and Quality, across the Manufacturing, Mining, Oil and Gas, Services and Utilities industries.
Throughout his career, Nathan has actively contributed to the advancement of health and safety through his leadership, coaching and development of teams of Safety, Risk, Audit and Quality professionals. Nathan is a strong believer in collaboration and consultation both within his team, throughout organisations and with the wider community.
Nathan combines his qualifications in Environmental Toxicology with Business Administration, Accounting and OH&S Management. He applies his significant experience and leadership skills in delivering sustainable improvements in Risk Management which has resulted in a higher standard of Health & Safety capability and performance amongst health and safety professionals.
A natural and effective communicator, Nathan is frequently invited to speak at major conferences, think tanks and international congresses. Nathan’s strong organizational development and communication skills are of benefit when developing supportive relationships with regulators, Corporate partners and counterpart organisations with whom he interacts around the world.
